  Thallus epiphyllous, small and scattered or confluent and forming rather large colonies, continuous, pale green, smooth, matt; prothallus not apparent. Algae Phycopeltis; cells rectangular, forming radiating plates. Perithecia superficial, hemispherical to subglobose and slightly attenuated at the base, 0.23–0.36 (–0.4) mm diam., pale to medium orange-brown, smooth, sometimes faintly pilose at the sides, usually matt; apex rounded or slightly flattened; ostiole inconspicuous or whitish. Involucrellum extending to exciple base level, sometimes with a thin thalline covering near the base. Exciple c. 20 µm thick, pale yellow-brown. Asci narrowly obclavate to elongate-cylindrical, 65–82 × 7–9 µm. Ascospores oblong to narrowly fusiform, 3-septate, 19–28 × 3–4 µm; perispore thin or not apparent. Pycnidia not seen.
     
  Endemic to north-eastern Qld; grows on the leaves of ferns, shrubs and trees in lowland to montane rainforest.
