Porina limitata C.Knight

  Thallus epiphloeodal or epiphyllous, continuous to rimose, pale sandy brown to pale greyish green, matt to slightly glossy, minutely verruculose, 40–80 µm thick, corticate; prothallus broad, greyish black. Algae Trentepohlia; cells 6–12 × 6–10 µm. Perithecial verrucae convex to hemispherical, 0.38–0.68 mm diam.; wall containing a layer of colourless crystals; apex rounded to ±plane; ostiole inconspicuous or in a shallow depression; periostiolar area concolorous with the thallus or pale to medium brown and 80–140 µm diam. Involucrellum apical to dimidiate, pale to medium orange-brown. Exciple 20–25 µm thick, hyaline to pale brown. Centrum 0.2–0.35 mm wide. Asci elongate-cylindrical, 100–130 × 20–25 µm. Ascospores fusiform, 7–9-septate, 38–58 × 6–10 µm; perispore 1–2 µm thick. Pycnidia not seen.
     
  Occurs on bark in south-eastern Qld, and grows from twigs onto leaves in north-eastern Qld. Also known from Vanuatu.
