| Thallus epiphyllous, often forming extensive patches, pale grey-green, usually with numerous scattered applanate to convex concolorous to pale yellowish brown verrucae to 0.1 (–0.15) mm diam., otherwise ±smooth; prothallus not apparent. Algae Phycopeltis; cells somewhat rounded, angular or irregular, not forming radiating plates. Perithecial verrucae convex, hemispherical or wart-shaped, 0.33–0.6 (–0.8) mm diam., smooth, pale yellowish brown; wall containing a layer of colourless crystals; apex plane to rounded; ostiole inconspicuous or minutely papillate; periostiolar area concolorous or pale pinkish brown. Involucrellum apical and ±vestigial to dimidiate. Exciple c. 15 µm thick, pale yellowish brown. Asci narrowly obclavate to elongate-cylindrical, 90–110 × 10–13 µm. Ascospores elongate-fusiform, 7-septate, 29–50 × 3–5.5 µm; perispore thin or not apparent. Pycnidia not seen. |  |

| A rather common species in eastern Qld and eastern N.S.W., from latitudes 16°S to 35°S; grows on the leaves of shrubs and trees in lowland and montane rainforest; also in Papua New Guinea. | ||
