ORIGIN: Ceratopetalum 'White Christmas' was noticed as a natural colour variant within a population of normal red C. gummiferum growing at Castle Hill, New South Wales. Cultivar received by the Authority: 21 February 1977. Applicant: ANBG Canberra.
DIAGNOSIS: C. 'White Christmas' is only different from other known forms of C. gummiferum in that the calyx lobes do not exhibit the usual pink to red colouring. The calyx lobes remain white to green in colour throughout the flowering and seed developing period. Habit is also identical to other known forms of C. gummiferum.
