Ecological Restoration for Mountain Environments: Approaches and Techniques

28 - 30 April 2004
Covering sites in NSW and ACT
Starting at the Australian National Botanic Gardens, Canberra

Invitation

Hosted by the Australian Network for Plant Conservation, the Australian Alps national parks, and TransGrid, this workshop is aimed at those involved in the rehabilitation of alpine, sub-alpine and montane environments.

The three-day course will begin with introduction sessions on general rehabilitation considerations and alpine/sub-alpine ecosystems. With this as background talks and discussions will take place on-site at various rehabilitation sites in NSW and ACT, including Boboyan Pines, Namadgi National Park, and Kosciuszko National Park.

The course fee includes transport during the workshop, twin share accommodation at Adaminaby and Jindabyne, and all meals during the course.

This is part of a collaborative project to improve the outcomes of rehabilitation works in mountain environments. A manual, based on course materials, will be produced following the workshop to guide future activities. Come along to learn about and discuss current approaches and techniques.

Course Fees

$385
(includes GST, food and twin-share accommodation for three days and two nights, excluding breakfast on 28 April and dinner on 30 April)
