Plant Conservation Techniques Practical Workshops

Come and spend a day with plant conservation experts from around the country learning a range of skills in plant conservation.

What? The Australian Network for Plant Conservation is running a day of practical workshops in plant conservation techniques. This is an opportunity to learn about:

  • Helping to identify and map our fungi through the Fungimap project
  • Propagating some rare or threatened plants with experts from the Australian National Botanic Gardens
  • Smoke germination with experts from Kings Park and Botanic Gardens
  • Assessing threats to species
  • Monitoring techniques for plant conservation
  • The Wollemi Pine as a case study of integrated plant conservation
  • .... and more, plus posters, computer demonstrations and bookstalls

Who are these workshops for? Anyone interested in conserving plants: landholders, community groups, interested individuals etc.

Where? At Lake Hume Resort, Albury Wodonga as part of ANPC's National Conference

When? Sunday 28th November 1999, from 9.00am to 5.00pm

How much? The cost of the day is $50 - this includes lunch, plus morning and afternoon tea.
