Born Roscrea, Tipperary, Ireland, 16 Oct.1869; died Prospect, SA, 18 Apr. 1951

Ethnographer, journalist. Arrived Townsville, Qld, Jan. 1883; governess etc in Qld, NSW, Tas.; in England 1894-99; to Fremande, W.A., Sept. 1899.

Lived with & studied Aborigines in W.A. & S.A. for many years.

Collected at Roebuck Bay, W.A., 1902; (year 1891 on one specimen is incorrect).
