Beccari, Odoardo (1843 - 1920)

Born Florence, Italy, 16 Nov. 1843; died Florence, Italy, 25 Oct.1920.

Collected (including cryptogams) with L.M.d'Albertis in N. Guinea, Borneo, Sumatra; later in Ethiopia.

In early 1878 visited Sydney, travelled overland to Melbourne, then to Tas., e.g. Launceston (Feb.), then to N.Z., back to Sydney & Brisbane.

Published many papers.
