Forster, Paul Irwin (1961 - )

Born at Christchurch, New Zealand, 3 November 1961. 

Member of staff since 1991 (plant taxonomist and ‘Austrobaileya’ editor [since 2005]) at the Queensland Herbarium. Trained in botany at the University of Queensland, B.Sc. (Hons.) [1983], M.Sc. [1990], D.Sc. [2004].

Editor of 'Austrobaileya', the taxonomic house journal of the Queensland Herbarium.

Research Interests

• Systematics of Vascular Plants (both angiosperms and gymnosperms)
• Natural Products from the Australian Flora
• Reproductive and conservation biology of cycads
