Simple Search

Use the top Search box to enter the value to perform the search using details such as plant family, genus or full name.

Use % or * as the wild-card values.

Press the Search Button on the top right hand side to perform the search.

Advanced Search

Use the various fields in the Advanced Search area. Multiple terms are then added together to restrict the scope of the search.

Use % or * as the wild-card values.

In pull-down menus, multiple terms can be selected – hold the Ctrl key to select multiple values.

Fields

Plant Name: search using details such as plant family, genus or full name.

Group: Select a high level of classification from the pull-down menu.

Title: Words or word-strings within the formal title of the research project (this title is not shown on screen).

Category: select from a range of different classification groupings on the pull-down menu.

Techniques: select from a range of different research techniques on the pull-down menu.

Objectives: select from a range of different research outcomes on the pull-down menu.

Personnel: enter the name of researchers involved with the project (surname only)

Region: select from a range of different geo/political groupings on the pull-down menu (check the full length of the pull-down).

Address: searches for any word or abbreviation in the postal address, ie 'Adelaide', 'TAS', 'Hawaii', 'USA', 'UK', 'Denmark'.

Schedule: indicates the state of the project from a few terms in a pull-down menu.

The Sounds Like box, bottom left, can be used if you do not know the exact spelling of words entered elsewhere.

The Per Page box can limit the number of search results per web page, listing consecutive web pages to be opened.

The Max Results box can limit the total number of search results to a managable quantity.

The Output box selects the format outputs can generated in: HTML, CSV or XML.
