The way the apex of the labellum is held in relation to the rest of the labellum. If the flower is upside down (not resupinate) turn the flower up the right way (dorsal sepal at the top) when using this character.

Flat: the labellum is all in one plane.

Downcurved/decurved: the labellum apex curves downwards but is not recurved back on itself.

Recurved/reflexed: the labellum apex recurves down and back on itself. In some species it may even coil.

Upcurved: the labellum apex curves upwards.
