Calyx tube relative length

The tube is the fused portion of the calyx. This character refers to the length of the calyx tube relative to the length of the calyx lobes. When lobes are unequal in length, the length of the calyx tube is measured relative to the dorsal lobe(s).

Shorter than lobes

The calyx tube is significantly shorter than the lobes.

Equal to the lobes (within 10%)

The calyx tube and calyx lobes are more or less equal in length.

Longer than lobes

The calyx tube is significantly longer than the lobes. This includes taxa that have lobes that are minute or vestigial or entirely absent.
