Standard petal Less than 2/3 the length of the keel petal

The standard petal is significantly shorter than the keel petal. This trait occurs in several genera, notably Leptosema, Gastrolobium (Brachysema) and several Bossiaea spp. Associated traits include red petals and inversion of the flowers (resupination) which are presumably adaptations for bird pollination.

Standard petal equal to or longer than the keel petal

The standard petal is more or less equal to or longer than the keel petal.
