Rounded

Branchlets are circular or oval in section (i.e. more or less cylindrical in outline).

Compressed

Branchlets are strongly flattened, often appearing as if  winged"(e.g. Bossiaea bossiaeoides).

Angular

Branchlets with 3 or more distinct angles, including branchlets with marked striations. Note that branchlets with many angles are effectively indistinguishable from those that are rounded in section.
