Branchlet hairiness (young branchlets)

The presence or absence of hairs on the surface of young branchlets.

Glabrous

The entire branchlet surface is clearly visible, withour hairs, or with a few scattered hairs.

Hairy

The branchlet surface is slightly to entirely obscured by hairs. Usually, hairs are uniformly distributed over the branchlet surface (as distinct from scattered).
