PhD Studentships

The Centre for Plant Biodiversity Research, including the Australian National Herbarium, is a collaborative research centre formed between CSIRO Plant Industry and the Australian National Botanic Gardens, Environment Australia. The Centre's research program covers a wide range of activities aimed at documenting, classifying and conserving Australia's flora. The research interests of staff in the Centre range widely across many aspects of the phylogeny and systematics of Australia's flora, its utilisation, and its conservation particularly in the face of habitat fragmentation and natural and threatening processes such as fire, disease and invasive weeds.

To promote these aims and foster the development of interest in these areas of research, we are able to offer the PhD Studentships on an occasional basis. These positions are based in Canberra, ACT, Australia.

Please follow the links below to see what kind of PhD Studentships we have been able to offer in the past.

Current Studentships offered:

Evolutionary relationships in the Verbenaceae with particular emphasis on invasive taxa within the genus Lantana
