Dissemination of botanical information.
In the distant past this was largely through publications, displays and exhibitions, but since 1995 most of my efforts have been via the Internet.
I maintain the web pages for both the Centre for Australian National Biodiversity Research and the Australian National Botanic Gardens.
I also manage the Botanical Information Group at the Botanic Gardens, comprising the Australian Plant Image Index (a large collection of 35mm slides, born-digital images, and line illustrations) and web access to this resource; and the Plant Records Unit of the Botanic Gardens which labels and monitors the living plants for the visiting public.
In a private capacity I have been joint author with John Wrigley in a range of botanical/horticultural books on Australian native plants.
