ANBG Education Programs
The Gardens Classroom
Join us for an engaging, ‘hands on’ outdoor learning adventure! Our Gardens Classroom program, Water for Life, is designed to accommodate children from kindergarden to year 12. The children are divided into 3 groups for rotation through a series of activities relating to the importance of water in our environment.
The activities are based on a full day adventure for kindergarden – Year 12. We ask you to divide your class into 3 groups accordingly. The Education staff will lead 2 of the Water for Life activities, while the visiting teacher leads the third. We will provide all the resources for a fun day, so only limited teacher preparation is required! Parent support welcomed.
We can cater for groups of up to 75 students (full day) so fill the bus for a cost effective excursion!

For interstate groups on a trip to Canberra we recommend “Around Oz in an Hour” to introduce students to the ANBG and the diversity of Australia’s native plants.

Our Guides meet groups on arrival and deliver a brief introduction, organise storage of bags and divide the group into smaller units.
