We offer personalised professional development programs to help teachers explore the potential of the Gardens environment to deliver innovative education programs.

Our professional development programs are designed to help teachers use the gardens as an effective educational resource. Our programs can be adapted and used across the curriculum addressing several Key Learning Areas.

Learning outcomes link with the Australian Curriculum Framework through the Across Curriculum Perspectives, encompassing educational and societal issues of significance.

Your visit to the Gardens will address some or all of the following Across Curriculum Perspectives:

  • environmental education
  • Australian education
  • information access
  • language for understanding.

These outcomes are in keeping with the Department of the Environment's National Action Plan: Environmental Education for a Sustainable Future. Text of this publication can be found at www.environment.gov.au/education/nap/html.
