In
addition to the areas in which members can become involved (as described
on the Activities page) members also receive
:
a
quarterly Newsletter which includes the activities programme for the
following 3 months, general information, articles and features of interest
to members (who are urged to contribute!);
entitlement to a 10% discount at the Botanical Bookshop and Hudson's
Restaurant at the Gardens;
use of the Friends' lounge area at the Gardens;
a
permit for free parking at the Gardens (saves $1.20 per hour !)
Membership Fees and Categories :
Membership fees are calculated on an annual basis, from 1 November
each year (memberships after 1 August are valid until 1 November the following year).
Memberships are now available for 1, 2 or 5 years, in the following categories.
Household—people living at the same address
(2 Parking Permits per Household and membership card
for each nominated person)
Botanical Interest Groups (BIG) —such as Garden Clubs
(3 Parking Permits and 3 Membership cards)
Individual—for one person only
(Parking Permit and Membership Card)
OR
Individual Concession—For one person only, who is a holder of a
Federal Government Pension Benefit Card or who is a
full time student
(Parking Permit and Membership Card)
Please Note
Memberships are not refundable
and
only one application per membership type and duration.
The form can also be obtained from the Visitor Information Centre at the Gardens.
