The Information Package for this year's (2008) competition was sent on 2 June 08 to all schools in the A.C.T. and Queanbeyan Region - if any schools have not received it, please let me know
(contact details below).
Closing date for this year's competition is 26 September, 2008, with presentation of prizes on
18 October, 2008. Schools will be advised the time and location of presentation nearer to the date.
This year, the ANBG has provided the Exhibition Gallery in the Visitor Information Centre for display of all the photographs. They will be viewable 9.00 am to 4.30 pm, 7 days, for at least three weeks to 2 November, 2008. After this, the prizewinning entries will be on display in the foyer.

This
competition is held during the latter part of each year - entry closing
date usually the final day of Third Term, with judging and presentation
of awards during October.
It is restricted to students attending,
at the time of the competition, a High School or Secondary College within
the A.C.T. and Queanbeyan Region, and all photographs must be taken within the Australian
National Botanic Gardens, featuring some aspect such as plants, wildlife, scenery, people
enjoying the Gardens.
An Information Package containing
details of the competition and entry forms is mailed to A.C.T. and Queanbeyan High Schools and Colleges during
May. When changes are made to the competition rules or categories, they are advised in the Information Package for that particular year.
The competition provides an excellent
opportunity for students to become aware of the value and beauty of
the Australian National Botanic Gardens, which are devoted to our native
plants, and, by exercising their photographic skills, to share that
beauty with others.
