Share a sparkling summer evening with your family and friends at Canberra’s most popular outdoor music series presented in partnership with the Friends of the Australian National Botanic Gardens
A new feature for 2012 will be the vibrant dance demonstrations, everything from swing to salsa.
Wine, beer and soft drinks are available to purchase from the Friends of the Gardens and sizzling BBQ by Rotary and Lions Clubs.
Free children's activities. Entry by donation to the Friends of the Gardens. Donations collected by the Friends are used to fund new projects in the Gardens each year.
Additional parking available at Clunies Ross Street car park and CSIRO Black Mountain.
Complimentary Assistance Bus from Gardens' car park to Eucalypt Lawn provided by Peter Blackshaw Real Estate.

DeeJay Gosper Band with Jumptown Swing Dancers
Saturday 7 January | 6.00 pm - 7.30 pm
DeeJay Gosper formed the Karismakatz in 2004. Her harmonica, vocal and songwriting talents have been regularly recognised, and in 2009 the Canberra Blues Society awarded her Female Blues Vocalist of the Year, and Hot Flush Blues, as Best Blues Album.
Key Grip with Jumptown Swing Dancers
Sunday 8 January | 6.00 pm - 7.30 pm
Led by Leo Joseph on piano, Hammond organ and vocals, Key Grip is a blues and swing outfit, occasionally augmented by the three-piece Gripping Stuff horn section.
As Famous as the Moon featuring multi Aria winner Bernie McGann with Salsabor Dancers

Formed in 1994 and regular participants in our Summer Sounds series, As Famous as the Moon plays cool classic jazz, bossa nova, calypso, meringue, and a touch of African grooves.

The Cashews with Kokoloco Dancers

Peter Lyon and Alison Procter formed The Cashews in 2004, and since then they have become one of Canberra’s best-loved musical acts. Their quirky, catchy, melodious, original music has a social conscience, and wonderful local appeal.
The Wedded Bliss with Folk Dance Canberra

The Wedded Bliss deliver tales of love, poverty, desire, faith and hope through blues, country and jazz in an intimate and acoustic setting. They have released two albums – Tattoos & Taillights, and Swingin’ Arms Hotel.

Annie and the Armadillos with the Wiradjuri Echoes (Special Australia Day Concert)

Formed in 2000, Annie & the Armadillos are arguably Canberra’s hardest working and most popular jazz, swing and blues band. Performer of the Year several years ago, Annie Sloane delivers sultry jazz and popular songs with great style.

Vertical & the RMC Band with Salsabor Dancers

The Band of the Royal Military College Duntroon has many varied roles including as a foremost and respected participant in the arts life of Canberra. Military bands have been the cornerstone at events of national significance since Federation. The Unit is the official band of Australia's Government House, Parliament House and the Royal Military College.

Eric Ajaye formed the highly skilled jazz quartet Vertical in 2007. Eric has taught double bass and electric bass in the Jazz Department faculty at the ANU School of Music for the past ten years.
Matt Handel Trio & Liam Budge Quartet with Kocoloco Dancers
Sunday 29 January| 4.30 pm - 7.30 pm
Liam Budge is a local vocalist, guitarist and pianist. In May 2011, he was selected as a finalist of the James Morrison Vocal Scholarship.
