FUNCTION INFORMATION

The Australian National Botanic Gardens are a delightful venue for Weddings, Cocktail Parties, Corporate Functions, Breakfasts etc.

SEATING

The Terrace area outside the café is suitable for a formal wedding for 120 guests or a Cocktail Party for 150/200 guests. Seating is at round tables of ten and tables are covered with white linen tablecloths.

In the event of inclement weather, the café interior and exterior pergola area is available.

FLOWERS

Small table arrangements are provided for all tables. Any special requirements can be organised through our florist and charged accordingly or, alternately, you may wish to use your own florist.

WEDDING CAKE

We can suggest and recommend a cake decorator if required or you may wish to organise this yourself.

ENTERTAINMENT

You may wish to organise your own musical entertainment, either live band, DJ or pre-recorded music.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

CONFIRMATION OF BOOKINGS

A deposit of $250.00 is required to confirm the booking which must be received within fourteen days of your original booking. If such confirmation is not received, we reserve the right to cancel the booking and allocate the venue to another client.

In the event that your confirmed booking must be cancelled, the following conditions will apply:

60 days or more
30 to 60 days
Less than 30 days

Your full deposit will be refunded provided the date is resold
50 percent of your deposit will be refunded provided the date is resold
The full deposit will be forfeited if less than 30 days’ notice is given

GUARANTEED NUMBERS

To ensure our maximum efficiency, a guaranteed number of guests is required two full working days prior to the event. This will be regarded as the minimum number for the catering and charges.

VENUE HIRE

A Venue Hire Fee and Security Fee of $70.00 per hour is applicable for every function held at Hudsons in the Gardens.

TIME EXTENSION

A labour charge of $150.00 is applicable for each hour after midnight. A labour charge of 10% on Sundays and Public Holidays is applicable to the total food and beverage account.

PRICE VARIATION

Prices are subject to seasonal variation.

REQUIREMENTS

At least two days prior to your function we require the following:

Full payment of the beverage charges is required within seven days of the function.
