ASTERACEAE (Daisies)

Note: the Australian daisies are poorly documented in book form. There is much active research and reclassification. Best identification sources, for both native and naturalised species, are the State and regional floras and handbooks listed earlier in this compilation, or specialist papers in journals (consult your State Government herbarium).

Schaumann, M. et al. Australian Daisies for gardens and floral art. Lothian, 1987 (223 pp.) [Not primarily an identification guide, but contains descriptions and line illustrations of 62 often-cultivated species, together with horticultural information and notes on preservation for floral art and arrangements. The scientific names are dated, as understanding of this much-vexed group is advancing rapidly.]
