Flower with spur, pouch or mentum

A spur is a slender, hollow projection, usually arising from the labellum and often containing nectar. A spur shaped like a sac is often referred to as a pouch. A mentum is a chin like extension of the base of a flower consisting of the column foot, the bases of the lateral sepals and sometimes also the bases of the petals. This arrangement is sometimes called a pseudospur.
