This is one of a series of 3 'Australian Native Bonsai' stamps.

Plant: Melaleuca linariifolia

Family: MYRTACEAE

Common name: Snow-in-summer

Usually a small tree to 10m, spreading with age.
Leaves are linear to narrow-lanceolate, to 3.5cm.
Bears white fluffy flowers in cylindrical spikes to 3.5cm in spring and summer.

In the case of this plant it has been developed into a bonsai specimen
