Acacia boormanii
Snowy River Wattle
Description:
Rounded shrub, 2-3 m in diameter with narrow phyllodes to 8 cm. Bears profuse golden ball-shaped flowers in spring.
Distribution:
Vic., NSW.
Propagation:
From scarified seed or boiling water treatment.
Cultivation:
Generally adaptable in cultivation, responds to sunny, reasonably well drained positions in most soils. An outstanding wattle in flower.
Special horticultural attributes:
Frost hardy (will tolerate frosts to -7 C )
May be used as a feature plant.
