  Thallus over 5 cm wide. Upper surface smooth to uneven. Apothecia about the same as typical but with proper exciple distinctly euparaplectenchymatous and thick (central part to 65 µm and in some specimens to 130 µm), hyaline to pale yellow, of large isodiametric cells to 22 µm wide, in more or less vertical rows.
  Endemic to Vic. and Tas.
