  Thallus pale olive-green, smooth, slightly cracked. Ascomata scattered, conspicuous, sessile, straight, curved or sinuous, 1–5 (–12) mm long, 0.3–0.5 mm wide, 0.3–0.5 mm thick, with a conspicuous complete thalline margin; lips closed. Proper exciple completely carbonised, thick at the base. Hymenium 250–300 µm thick, inspersed. Ascospores 2–4 (–5) per ascus, transversely 18–20-locular, 100–120 × 14–18 µm, I+ blue.
CHEMISTRY: No lichen compounds detected.
  A rare, corticolous species in north-eastern Qld; also in East Africa.
