  Thallus epiphyllous, often forming extensive patches, pale greenish grey to pale grey-green to yellowish grey, continuous, moderately to markedly glossy, smooth to minutely uneven; prothallus usually not apparent. Algae Phycopeltis; cells somewhat rounded, angular or irregular, not forming radiating plates. Perithecial verrucae convex to hemispherical or subconical, 0.3–0.7 mm diam.; wall containing a layer of colourless crystals; apex plane to rounded; periostiolar area concolorous to pale to medium reddish brown and up to 0.2 mm diam. Involucrellum apical and ±vestigial to dimidiate. Exciple 10–15 µm thick, pale yellowish brown. Asci narrowly obclavate, 75–100 × 9–16 µm. Ascospores oblong, 35–48 × 4–5.5 µm, often tapering noticeably towards the proximal end; perispore thin or not apparent.
  Occurs in eastern Qld and north-eastern N.S.W.; grows on leaves of shrubs and trees in rainforest. A common pantropical lichen.
