  Thallus epiphyllous, forming small colonies, irregularly verruculose, pale yellowish grey; prothallus not apparent. Algae Phycopeltis; cells somewhat rounded, angular or irregular, not forming radiating plates. Perithecial verrucae hemispherical or wart-shaped to ±subglobose, 0.25–0.42 mm diam., smooth to uneven; wall containing a layer of colourless crystals; apex plane to rounded; ostiole inconspicuous; periostiolar area concolorous or pinkish brown to (rarely) blackish and up to 0.15 mm diam. Involucrellum apical and ±vestigial. Exciple c. 15–20 µm thick, pale yellowish brown. Asci narrowly obclavate to elongate-cylindrical, c. 115 × 15 µm. Ascospores fusiform, 7-septate, 30–40 × 5–6 µm; perispore thin or not apparent. Pycnidia not seen.
     
  Known from north-eastern Qld and south-eastern N.S.W., and almost certainly overlooked or misidentified elsewhere near the east coast; grows on leaves in rainforest and wet-sclerophyll forest. Also in the Ivory Coast (West Africa).
