  Thallus off-white, thin, smooth, dull. Ascomata conspicuous, numerous, black, scattered, simple, straight, curved or sinuous, 1–3 mm long, 0.15–0.30 mm wide, with a conspicuous thalline margin and acute ends; lips closed. Proper exciple completely carbonised. Hymenium 100–150 µm thick, not inspersed. Ascospores 8 per ascus, ±muriform, 8–10 × 2–4-locular, 28–38 × 10–12 µm, I+ blue.
CHEMISTRY: No lichen compounds detected.
     
  A rare, corticolous species in eastern Qld; also in the Solomon Islands.
